4th Symposium - 2019
Wuhan University of Technology, China, Rajagiri College of Social Sciences, India, University of Eastern Finland, Finland and the University of Applied Sciences, Landshut, Germany, invite abstracts for the 4th Annual BNFGSW Symposium. The symposium is one of a series of themed scholarly gatherings of African, Asian, Australian, European, United Kingdom, and United States of America academics committed to developing new networks and frameworks for promoting global social work. The theme of this year’s symposium is building just communities and shared futures and reflects the professions commitment to promoting cohesive, inclusive and sustainable societies. Migration, social integration and diversity continue to be important topics for this year’s symposium. Research, policy, practice, and education priorities in response to global issues will be explored over the four day program.
The symposium is specifically targeted at social work practitioners, students, and academics committed to promoting a just for all. The symposium organizers extend a special invitation to Social Work Master and Doctoral/PhD students to join us, given their future role in global social work. The host organizers will arrange a special youth dialogue event aimed at promoting young people’s understanding of current and future global issues. Field visits will be organized as part of the symposium program so that participants can learn more about social welfare provision in China.
